    We all have a choice

    Two Choices ~

READ THIS LET IT REALLY SINK IN...THEN CHOOSE HOW YOU START YOUR DAY
     TOMORROW...

Michael is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood
and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how
he was doing, he would reply, 'If I were any better, I would be twins!'

He was a natural motivator. If an employee was havinga bad day, Michael
was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the
     situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to
Michael and asked him, 'I don't get it! You can't be a positive person
all of the time. How do you do it?'

Michael replied, 'Each morning I wake up and say to myself, 'Mike, you
have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can
choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood.

'Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can
choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

'Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept
their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose
     the positive side of life.'

'Yeah, right, it isn't that easy,' I protested.

'Yes, it is,' Michael said. Life is all about choices. When you cut away
all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to
situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to
be in a good mood or bad mood. 'The bottom line is: It's your choice how
     you live life.'

I reflected on what Michael said. Soon thereafter, I left the tower
industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought
about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that Michael was involved in a serious
accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower. After 18
hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Michael was released from
the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw Michael about six months after the accident. When I asked him how
he was, he replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my
     scars?'

I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his
mind as the accident took place. 'The first thing that went through my
mind was the well being of my soon-to-be- born daughter,' Michael
replied. 'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two
choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die. I chose to live.'

'Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?' I asked.

Michael continued, 'The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I
was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the
expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared.
In their eyes, I read 'He's a dead man.' I knew I needed to take action.'

'What did you do?' I asked. 'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting
questions at me,' said Michael. 'She asked if I was allergic to
anything. 'Yes,' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as
they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity.'
Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me
as if I am alive, not dead'.'

Michael lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of
his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the
choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

     You have two choices now:
     1. Delete this.
     2. Forward it to the people you care about.

I hope you will choose 2. I did.

I have seen this in real life

This one is a joke but the sad fact is it's really happening out on our streets

A walker noticed an old lady sitting on her front step, so he walked up to her and said,  'I couldn't help noticing how happy you look!   What is your secret?'

     GetAttachment

'I smoke ten cigars a day,' she said.   'Before I go to bed, I smoke a nice big joint.  Apart from that, I drink a whole bottle of Jack Daniels every week, and eat only junk food.  On week-ends, I pop pills, get laid, and do no other exercise at all.'

'That's absolutely amazing! How old are you?'

    <>

                                                                                                   'Twenty-four,' she replied

This was sent to me by a mate but I have seen this in real life as I am sure some of you have but how can we make our younger generation see this can really happen to them ,I guess the answer to that is we can't they will not listen I guess as some of us did'nt but it's a sad fact that's what our younger generation are doing to themselves .

Now for the poor men online today thats if they have been allowedSmile

    Why do men die first?

This is a question that has gone unanswered for centuries, but, now I know. It requires a bit of explanation, first:

If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race ... you're a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework ... you're a pansy. If you work too hard ... there's never any time for her. If you don't work enough ... you're a good-for-nothing bum. If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay ... this is exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay ... you should get off your lazy behind and find something better. If you get a promotion ahead of her ... that is favouritism. If she gets a job ahead of you ... its equal opportunity.

If you mention how nice she looks ... its sexual harassment. If you keep quiet ... its male indifference. If you cry ... you're a wimp. If you don't ... you're an insensitive b*stard. If you make a decision without consulting her ... you're a chauvinist.

If she makes a decision without consulting you, she's a liberated woman. If you ask her to do something she doesn't enjoy ... that's domination. If SHE asks you ... it's a favour. If you appreciate the female form and frilly underwear ... you're a pervert. If you don't ... you're gay.

If you like a woman to shave her legs and keep in shape ... you're sexist. If you don't ... you're unromantic. If you try to keep yourself in shape ... you're vain. If you don't ... you're a slob. If you buy her flowers ... you're after something. If you don't ... you're not thoughtful. If you're proud of your achievements ... you're full of yourself. If you don't ... you're not ambitious. If she has a headache ... she's tired. If you have a headache ..... you don't love her anymore. If you want it too often ... you're oversexed. If you don't ... there must be someone else.

Why do men die first? Because they want  to.lol

    Maybe of help to someone

Something I found I have not tried the car door one yet

4 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

    FIRST
    Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

    SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a mobile phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your phone.
Hold your mobile phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the boot).
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"

    THIRD
    Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

    FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phon! e: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

This is the kind of information people don't mind receiving, so Blog it pass it on to your family and friends or just give them my space link hope it may help someone out here in our live spaces

                                                                                                  THE NEIGHBOUR

I had a neighbour who was born again but whose husband was not. She came to me asking for prayer for her husband's salvation. She said she had prayed and prayed over him but he seemed no closer to God for all the prayer.

Knowing that the Bible tells us that it is God's will for all to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of Christ, I was more than willing to agree in prayer with her for her husband.

But when we went to prayer, I had a vision. So I stopped to see what God had to say in the situation.

First I saw a prison which was old and horrible. I could hear prisoners moaning and could almost smell the place and I knew it was no modern day prison in the US. As I watched I saw my neighbour's husband come to the barred door and he stood there with his arms through the bars and his hands extended toward us.

I wanted so much to get him out of that place and I was sure she did too. But when I turned in the vision to look at her I was surprised. She was standing back away from where his hands could reach her. In her hands I saw a huge key ring with two keys on it.

She had in her hands the means to open the prison door. But when I looked at her face I was shocked to see a look of vindictive glee. She was glad he was in that prison and had no intention of letting him out.

Then quickly the vision changed and now I saw a deep hole like a well. The sides were slick with moss and it was dank and there were things in there that I didn't even want to see.

I got close enough to look down over the edge and there I saw my neighbour's husband again. He was pleading with us to help and I tried desperately to think of some way to get him out.

Once again I turned and looked at my neighbour. This time she had a rope ladder which was attachable to two pegs on the edge of the hole. The ladder was folded up against her chest. All she had to do was attach it to the pegs and let it fall to her husband who would then be able to climb out. But it was obvious from the look on her face that she had no intention of giving him the answer to his dilemma.

Now I heard the Lord speak to me. He said that the neighbour held the answer to getting her husband saved but she was very angry with him for all the misery he had put her through. In her unforgivness she had bound him as a prisoner and refused to forgive him and let him go.

Unforgivness is an awful thing! If my neighbour's husband could get saved he would become a changed man and she could be married to the person she longed him to be. But her unforgivness was actually preventing her from getting the very thing she wanted most. The keys to the prison door were forgiveness. And the rope ladder was forgiveness.

When I shared this vision with her, my neighbour began to cry. Together we prayed and forgave her husband for all he had done to her and their family. Then we prayed for his salvation.

Not long after, he came to the Lord and has been a strong Christian all these many years since. I am so thankful that God has given us the power to forgive. It

    The United Kindom

    The Making of Great Britain

    England and Wales

In 1543, during the Tudor times, England and Wales were united as one country. Scotland and Ireland remained separate kingdoms, with their own parliaments and laws until the much later.

    England and Scotland

In 1603 England and Scotland shared the same king. King James VI of Scotland became also James I of England.

James I was very keen to be King of Great Britain, and from 1606 Scots were officially called English citizens. However, it wasn't until 1652, that the two countries were united together through force by Oliver Cromwell. The Scots had never accepted this action.

    Kingdom of Great Britain

In 1707 the Act of Union meant that Scotland lost her Parliament and her independence and became part of a new country to be called 'Kingdom of Great Britain'.

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

In 1801 a second Act of Union was passed, creating yet another new country, the 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland'.

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921 removed mainland Ireland from the UK. Six northern Irish counties (Northern Ireland) remained part of the UK.

The current name of the country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, was adopted in 1927

UK and its new Terminal 5

    The making of Terminal 5

     2002

September: Construction begins on Heathrow Terminal 5 after 13 years of planning and a four-year public inquiry. The first job is to start moving earth so the foundations can be built.

     2003

April: An archaeological dig at the site begins to wind down. More than 80,000 artefacts have been found.

July: A full-size section of the Terminal 5 roof is erected in Yorkshire for testing. As a result, more than 140 issues are resolved, averting a potential four-month delay.

August: A full-scale section of the baggage system is built and tested.

November: Work begins on the steel superstructure of the main terminal building.

     2004

March: Tunnelling for the westbound London Underground Piccadilly Line extension is finished ten days early.

May: The twin rivers, which ran through the middle of the Terminal 5 site, are successfully diverted. The scheme receives accolades from the Environment Agency and Royal Parks Agency.

July: The Terminal 5 project achieves one million man-hours without a reportable accident for the first time. It goes on to do this another nine times.

     2005

January: Nine separate tunnels for road, rail, London Underground and drainage are completed.

February: The Terminal 5 project reaches the half-way mark. It has taken 22 million man-hours to get to this stage.

March: The sixth and final section of the main terminal roof is lifted into position, creating a new 21st century skyline for Heathrow.

April: The new air traffic control tower's main structure is completed.

September: Transport Secretary Alistair Darling performs the Terminal 5 topping-out ceremony in front of workers and invited guests.

December: Terminal 5 is made weathertight with the completion of more than 30,000 sq metres of glass façade, 11 weeks early.

     2006

May: The new Airbus A380 superjumbo spends the night at Terminal 5 on its first visit to the northern hemisphere for testing at Heathrow.

July: The Duke of Edinburgh makes a personal tour of Terminal 5.

September: An unexploded World War II bomb is discovered and safely disposed of. Six vehicles for the terminal's automated transit system arrive from the USA and are lowered into their tunnels.

November: The entire construction site, with 7,000 workers, achieves two million man-hours without a reportable accident for the second time. Satellite Terminal 5B is virtually complete.

     2007

February: The Colne Valley landscaping project begins. It will include cycle paths and bridleways for local communities.

March: One million man-hours without a reportable accident is achieved for the eighth time.

April: The new air traffic control tower becomes fully operational.

May: Forty semi-mature London plane trees are planted on the Interchange Plaza. The big clean-up of all the steelwork and glass façades begins.

July: The first London Underground train arrives at Terminal 5, ahead of trial operations.

September: With six months to go until opening day, 15,000 volunteers have been recruited to help test Terminal 5.

     2008

March: The Queen officially opens Terminal 5 on March 14, following months of trials involving thousands of members of the public. The terminal opens for business with the landing of British Airways flight BA026 from Hong Kong at 4:50am on 27 March 2008.

T5 chaos 'not BA's finest hour'

    Passenger
Luggage check-in was suspended on the opening day

The chaos that marred Heathrow's Terminal 5 on its opening day, leaving many stranded overnight, "was not our finest hour" BA's boss has admitted.

British Airways' chief executive Willie Walsh accepted the debacle had affected the reputation of BA and of Britain.

More than 100 flights were cancelled on Thursday and Friday with another 54 flights on Saturday cancelled.

Airport operator BAA said it was working with BA to resolve the severe baggage problems.

A BAA spokesman said: "BAA's first duty is to passengers and airlines.

"Today at T5, we are focusing all our efforts on our work with British Airways to resolve baggage issues and to deliver a good service to passengers. Elsewhere at Heathrow, our terminals are working normally."

Mr Walsh said the situation was improving on Friday, but admitted the opening was not a success.

"We clearly disappointed a number of people and we sincerely apologise."

    What went wrong graphic

He said a "combination of factors" that they had been unable to "get on top of" had led to the disruption.

"British Airways has not delivered and we need to deliver," he said. "I am accepting responsibility, the buck stops with me."

He said: "Today has started much better," but added: "At this stage I still expect some cancellations tomorrow".

He told BBC Radio 4's World At One programme that if one of the numerous hold-ups - including staff car-parking problems, staff security screening and baggage delays - had happened "in isolation", then the resulting travel chaos would not have been so severe.

He described the baggage delays as "minor system problems" and said that as the system had undergone six months of testing "we should absolutely have done better".

"In isolation some of these problems were identified and we felt they had been addressed. There were some basic human errors made that compounded the problems."

Late on Friday the airline cancelled 54 flights to and from Heathrow on Saturday, while 293 flights remained on the schedule.

It followed the cancellation of 36 of Friday's flights from T5 and 36 to the terminal.

The airline advised customers to check its website, www.ba.com, for service updates.

Passengers could now check-in both hand and hold luggage.

    First-day chaos

The airline, which has sole use of T5, says it has drafted in extra staff and held meetings through the night to try to ease the problems that wrecked the terminal's first day.

During the inadequate training days prior to the opening, any staff questions were bounced back with 'I don't know'
    Baggage handler

Some stranded travellers spent the night on the floor of the new building.

The suspension of luggage check-in was not the only problem to hit passengers hoping to leave T5 on its opening day.

Earlier in the day BA announced that "initial teething problems" with car parking provision, delays in staff security screening and staff familiarisation had resulted in a backlog of baggage.

A further technical fault also meant seven flights left T5 without luggage on board.

Sources have also told the BBC that morale was low among staff.

One baggage handler told BBC News what should have been BA's greatest hour had "turned into a shambles the moment the doors opened".

    T5 LATEST
  • 36 domestic flights cancelled
  • Long-haul flights operating
  • Passengers will be able to check in with both hand and hold baggage

  •

"BA claimed 'staff familiarisation' was to blame. The staff, however, would blame the lack of training and the essential support that was promised," he said.

"During the inadequate training days prior to the opening, any staff questions were bounced back with 'I don't know' and 'It will be clear on the day'.

"Staff signage is non-existent and quite frankly, how are we expected to help customers if we are not helped first?"

    Fingers crossed

BBC reporter Steve Rosenberg said on his flight from Berlin to Heathrow the captain warned passengers that "things haven't been going well at Heathrow, so keep your fingers crossed".

On arrival, there was a delay while ground staff were found to help park the plane, and there was no bus driver available to collect the disembarking passengers.

More than 70 flights were cancelled on Thursday and Friday

Once at the terminal door, there were further delays as a swipe card used to open it would not work. But our correspondent said his bags came through on the conveyor belt promptly.

The BBC's transport correspondent Tom Symonds said the backlog was caused by problems with the airport's luggage processing system.

An underground conveyor system had become clogged up, he said.

This was being blamed on staff failing to remove luggage quickly enough at the final unloading stage.

Passengers on Thursday's cancelled flights were offered £100 towards the cost of overnight accommodation by the airline, but travellers reported that local hotels were charging up to twice that figure.

David Frost, director general of the British Chambers of Commerce, said the "shambles" had sent a "depressing message to businesses around the world".

"This is a PR disaster at a time when London and the UK are positioning themselves as global players. We can only hope that this will provide a wake-up call as we gear ourselves up to host the Olympics in 2012."

     The terminal cost

Terminal 5 took two decades to plan and build at a cost of 4.3 billion pounds, or $8.6 billion,

and it is still costing millions with the problams
